TradingView alternatives for Indian traders
Last updated: · Reviewed by the INDfolio AI research desk
Short answer
Indian traders look past TradingView for execution rather than charting: alerts do not natively place orders with Indian brokers, the strategy tester does not model the Indian cost stack of brokerage, STT, exchange charges, GST and stamp duty, and options backtesting is limited. The practical alternatives are INDfolio AI (plain-English strategies, NSE-cost backtesting and one-click deployment to seven brokers — and it can automate TradingView alerts directly), Streak, Tradetron, Chartink for scanning, and AlgoTest for options depth. For charts and Pine Script, TradingView is still the best in the world and worth keeping.
Disclosure: INDfolio AI publishes this page and INDfolio AI is one of the alternatives listed. We have kept every entry factual, stated plainly what the platform you are comparing against still does better, and quoted no pricing we could not verify — check each platform’s own site before you subscribe.
Almost no Indian trader wants to leave TradingView’s charts, and this page will not pretend otherwise: the charting, the drawing tools, the Pine ecosystem and the community script library are unmatched. Most searches for alternatives are not really about charting at all.
They are about what happens after the signal. A Pine strategy that looks profitable in the tester has not paid STT, exchange charges, GST or stamp duty; an alert that fires cannot place an order with your Indian broker on its own; and an options structure is not really what Pine was built to test. The alternatives below fill those gaps — and for several of them, the right answer is to add a platform rather than replace TradingView.

Alerts do not place orders with Indian brokers
TradingView alerts are notifications and webhooks. Turning one into a live NSE order with a stop attached requires something on the other end — an execution platform that receives the webhook, applies risk checks and routes the order through your broker’s official API.
That layer is the entire reason most Indian TradingView users end up with a second platform. INDfolio AI is built to be that receiver, which means keeping TradingView for charts and alerts and adding execution rather than migrating away from it.
The strategy tester does not know Indian charges
Pine’s backtester models commission generically. It has no concept of STT at 0.1% on both sides of a delivery trade, 0.025% on the intraday sell side, 0.05% on the futures sell side or 0.15% of premium on the options sell side after Budget 2026 — nor NSE transaction charges, the SEBI fee, GST on brokerage or buy-side stamp duty.
For a low-frequency system the omission is survivable. For an intraday or multi-leg options strategy it is decisive: a tester showing a healthy curve can be describing a strategy that loses money once the Indian cost stack is applied to every fill.
Options backtesting is not what Pine does
Systematic Indian options trading needs strike selection by offset, percentage or premium, correct lot sizes, expiry calendars that changed by circular, and per-leg costs on both sides. Pine works on price series, not on option chains with the premium history your strike rules would have selected.
Traders whose core strategies are index option structures need a dedicated options backtester — an area where TradingView is simply not the tool.
Pine Script is still code
Pine is far friendlier than AFL, and it is a programming language: syntax, execution-model subtleties, and repainting bugs that quietly produce backtests using information the strategy could not have had at the time.
No-code and plain-English builders remove that class of error structurally. If you have spent an evening debugging why a live signal disagrees with a backtest, this is the wall you hit.
What TradingView still does better
Switching has a cost. If the strengths below are the things you value most, staying with TradingView may be the right call — weigh them before you move.
- The best charting available anywhere — drawing tools, layouts, multi-timeframe analysis and speed that no alternative on this list approaches.
- Pine Script plus an enormous public library of community indicators and strategies, which means most ideas already have a starting point.
- Global multi-market coverage: Indian equities alongside crypto, forex, commodities and international indices in one interface.
- A large, genuinely useful social community with published ideas and scripts.
- Excellent cross-device experience — web, desktop and mobile stay in sync.
- A capable free tier, which is why it became the default chart for Indian retail traders in the first place.

1. Best for adding Indian execution and honest costs to a TradingView workflow
INDfolio AI our product
INDfolio AI is a no-code, AI-powered algo trading platform for Indian markets that receives TradingView alerts as webhooks and turns them into risk-checked live orders through official broker APIs — and builds and backtests strategies itself.
The reason it belongs on this list twice over: it is both an alternative and a complement. Keep charting and alerting on TradingView, point the webhook at INDfolio AI, and every alert becomes an order with position limits, stops and auto square-off enforced in the cloud rather than a notification you have to act on manually.
Independently of TradingView, strategies can be described in plain English or built visually, then backtested on NSE equity, futures, options and index history with the full Indian cost stack deducted per trade and per option leg — the arithmetic Pine’s tester does not model — and validated with parameter optimisation, walk-forward analysis and Monte Carlo simulation before paper trading on live prices.
The honest limitation: charting here is functional, not a TradingView replacement. If charts are what you love about TradingView, keep TradingView. This replaces the execution and validation half of the workflow, not the analysis half.
Strengths
- Turns TradingView alerts into live broker orders with risk checks
- Backtests deduct brokerage, STT, exchange charges, SEBI fee, GST, stamp duty and slippage
- Proper options backtesting with strike selection, lot sizes and expiry handling
- Walk-forward, optimisation and Monte Carlo validation built in
- 7 brokers via official APIs, cloud-enforced kill switches and square-off
Limitations
- Charting is functional, not a TradingView-class charting product
- NSE only — no crypto, forex, commodities or global markets
- Younger product with a smaller community
Pricing: Free forever plan; paid plans ₹999 and ₹2,499 per month incl. GST, 7-day trial.
2. Best for broker-native automation without webhooks
Streak
Streak is a no-code algo platform integrated into broker terminals, where condition-based strategies are built, backtested and deployed inside the broker environment.
For traders who want to skip the webhook plumbing entirely and stay inside one broker ecosystem, this is the simplest route from indicator logic to a live strategy.
Strengths
- No webhook setup needed
- Broker-native execution
- Simple condition builder
Limitations
- Limited depth versus Pine for custom logic
- Thinner validation tooling
Pricing: Subscription tiers — see their current pricing.
3. Best for complex conditional automation
Tradetron
Tradetron is a multi-segment algo platform built on a keyword-driven condition builder, with broad broker support and a strategy marketplace.
The closest no-code equivalent to writing intricate Pine logic — nested conditions across instruments, without the language.
Expect a learning curve, and verify any marketplace strategy with your own backtest.
Strengths
- Handles intricate multi-instrument logic
- Broad broker support
- Marketplace strategies available
Limitations
- Steep learning curve
- Marketplace strategies need independent verification
Pricing: Tiered subscriptions — see their site.
4. Best free NSE scanning
Chartink
Chartink is an Indian stock screener that scans NSE equities against technical conditions and can push alerts when scans match.
For the specific job of finding NSE stocks meeting technical criteria, Chartink is fast, free and India-specific in a way global platforms are not.
It scans; it does not execute. Pairing a Chartink scan with an execution platform is a common Indian workflow, and INDfolio AI automates exactly that path.
Strengths
- Free and fast NSE scanning
- India-specific screening conditions
- Alerts on scan matches
Limitations
- Screener only — no backtesting or execution
- Equity focus, not derivatives systems
Pricing: Free with paid tiers — see their site.
5. Best for the options backtesting Pine cannot do
AlgoTest
AlgoTest is an Indian options platform known for free, granular NSE F&O backtesting with leg-level control over entries, stops, re-entries and adjustments.
If the gap you feel in TradingView is options-shaped, this fills it directly — strike-level structures tested against real premium history.
Strengths
- Deep free options backtesting
- Leg-level control
- Large Indian options community
Limitations
- Options-first scope
- Not a charting or multi-segment platform
Pricing: Free backtesting; paid execution — see their site.
The verdict
Keep TradingView for charting and analysis. Nothing here replaces it, and this page is not going to pretend a functional chart is the same as the best chart in the world.
Add an execution layer for the Indian half of the problem: native broker order routing, backtests that deduct the real Indian cost stack, and options testing that understands strikes, lot sizes and expiries. For most Indian TradingView users, the answer is a second platform receiving the alerts, not a migration.
The test that settles it: take one Pine strategy whose tester results you believe, rebuild it somewhere the full Indian cost stack is deducted per fill, and compare the equity curves. If the gap is large, the strategy was always paying charges the tester never showed you — better to learn that from a backtest than from a statement.
How this list was made
- Platforms listed are ones Indian retail traders can actually use on NSE segments — including one screener and one options specialist, because "TradingView alternative" means different things depending on which half of the workflow you are replacing.
- Each entry gets the use case it genuinely wins rather than a numeric rank across products that are not comparable.
- No competitor pricing figures, user counts or ratings we could not verify appear anywhere, and this site publishes no review stars.
- TradingView’s genuine strengths get their own section above the alternatives — and our recommendation for most readers is to keep it rather than replace it.
- INDfolio AI is our product and is listed with its limitations in the same format as every other entry. Facts are re-checked quarterly.
