Angel One brokerage calculator — full charges on an NSE trade
Last updated:
Short answer
Angel One charges 0.1% or ₹20 per executed order (whichever is lower, minimum ₹5) on equity delivery and intraday, and a flat ₹20 per order on futures and options. Statutory charges — STT, NSE transaction charges, SEBI fees, stamp duty and 18% GST — apply on top, plus a DP charge of about ₹23.60 (₹20 + GST) per ISIN on delivery sells. This calculator itemises the full cost and shows your breakeven.

Estimate for one NSE round trip (one buy + one sell order). Brokers round each component per order, so contract notes can differ by small amounts. For options, prices are premiums and quantity is lots × lot size.
Angel One left the free-delivery club in late 2024: equity orders now carry brokerage of 0.1% capped at ₹20 with a ₹5 minimum, on delivery as well as intraday. That puts it a notch above the zero-delivery brokers on buy-and-hold costs, while its F&O card matches the standard flat ₹20. New accounts get a 30-day promotional waiver (₹0 brokerage up to ₹500), which this calculator does not model.

How Angel One’s charges work
Equity delivery and intraday share one rule: 0.1% of order value, capped at ₹20, floored at ₹5. The cap binds above ₹20,000 of order value; the floor means even a ₹1,000 order pays ₹5. Futures and options are flat ₹20 per executed order. The statutory stack is the standard NSE set — STT (0.1% both sides delivery, 0.025% sell intraday, 0.05% sell futures, 0.15% of premium sell-side options), NSE transaction charges, SEBI fee, buy-side stamp duty and 18% GST on the non-tax components.
Two Angel One specifics worth knowing: the DP charge on delivery sells is ₹20 plus GST per ISIN per day — among the higher schedules in the discount pack — and the ₹5 minimum makes very small equity orders proportionally expensive: on a ₹1,000 delivery buy, ₹5 is 0.5% of the position before taxes.
Angel One for algo traders
Angel One’s SmartAPI is one of the more established broker APIs in India, and for F&O algos the flat ₹20 per order makes cost modelling straightforward: every entry and exit is ₹20 plus turnover-linked levies. For equity systems the 0.1% band matters more — an intraday equity strategy trading ₹15,000 clips pays 0.1% each way in brokerage alone, which is heavier than the 0.03% brokers charge for the same trade.
INDfolio AI connects to Angel One through the official SmartAPI and deducts this exact cost stack per simulated trade in backtests. If your strategy trades small equity orders, backtesting with Angel One’s minimums modelled — rather than a generic ₹20 cap — is precisely the honesty that keeps live results close to the simulation.
Worked examples: Angel One charges on four typical trades
Computed by the same engine as the calculator above, so the two always agree. Each trade is bought and sold at the same price, so the total is the pure cost of the round trip and the breakeven is the price move needed just to cover it.

These calculators are free, run entirely in your browser, and store nothing. They produce estimates for NSE trades based on published rates and standard formulas — not investment advice, and not a substitute for your broker’s contract note. INDfolio AI builds algo trading software; the honest connection is that our backtests apply this same cost arithmetic to every simulated trade.
