Turn TradingView alerts into live orders at your Indian broker

Last updated: · Reviewed by the INDfolio AI research desk

In short

INDfolio AI turns TradingView alerts into live, risk-checked orders at seven Indian brokers — Zerodha, Fyers, Dhan, Angel One, Upstox, Alice Blue and Shoonya — via webhook, with no code and no desktop bridge: point your alert’s webhook URL at INDfolio AI and the order is placed in the cloud within seconds, subject to your position limits, max daily loss and auto square-off. Pine Script strategies stay on TradingView; execution moves to India.

You already have the charts, the Pine Script strategy, the alerts. What TradingView cannot do is place the order at an Indian broker. INDfolio AI closes that gap: point your TradingView alert webhook at INDfolio AI, and the alert becomes a real, risk-checked order at Zerodha, Fyers, Dhan, Angel One, Upstox, Alice Blue or Shoonya — in seconds, with no code and no desktop bridge running at home.

Your risk rules ride along: position limits, maximum daily loss and automatic square-off apply to webhook-driven orders exactly as they do to native strategies.

Webhook to order, no code

Paste your INDfolio AI webhook URL into any TradingView alert. Buy, sell and exit messages route straight to your broker.

Keep your Pine strategies

No rebuilding required — existing indicators, strategies and alert logic keep working; INDfolio AI handles execution.

Risk controls on every alert

Quantity caps, daily loss limits and square-off rules are enforced before any alert becomes an order.

Cloud execution

No PC, VPS or browser tab needs to stay open. Alerts execute server-side around the clock of NSE market hours.

How TradingView-to-broker automation works

TradingView alerts can call a webhook URL when they fire. INDfolio AI gives each of your automations a webhook endpoint: create the automation, choose the instrument, order type, quantity rules and risk limits, and paste the generated URL into your TradingView alert. When the alert fires, INDfolio AI validates the message, applies your risk rules and places the order through your broker’s official API.

Because execution happens in INDfolio AI’s cloud, the classic failure modes of desktop bridges disappear — no missed signals because the laptop slept, no fragile browser extensions, no VPS to maintain.

What Indian traders automate from TradingView

Pine Script strategy alerts (strategy.entry/strategy.close messages), indicator alerts like Supertrend flips or EMA crossovers, and price alerts used as breakout triggers. Both entries and exits can be automated, and a single strategy’s alerts can drive equity, futures or options orders with your strike and quantity rules applied on the INDfolio AI side.

Traders who outgrow alert-driven execution often rebuild the same logic natively in INDfolio AI — where it gains backtesting on NSE data with Indian costs, Monte Carlo validation and paper trading — but there is no forced migration: the webhook path is a first-class, permanent feature.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can TradingView place orders directly with Indian brokers?

Some brokers support manual chart-trading inside TradingView, but Pine strategies and alerts cannot auto-execute at Indian brokers on their own. An execution layer like INDfolio AI receives the alert webhook and places the order through the broker’s official API.

Do I need a paid TradingView plan?

Webhook alerts require a paid TradingView tier (per TradingView’s current plans). On the INDfolio AI side, automations that place live orders are available on paid plans from ₹999/month.

Which brokers can receive my TradingView alerts?

Zerodha, Fyers, Dhan, Angel One, Upstox, Alice Blue and Shoonya — via each broker’s official trading API, connected once in INDfolio AI.

What happens if an alert fires outside market hours or breaches my limits?

INDfolio AI validates every alert before execution. Orders that would breach your position limits or daily loss cap are rejected, and risk rules like automatic square-off continue to apply to positions opened by webhooks.

Is automating TradingView alerts legal in India?

Yes, when execution flows through a SEBI-registered broker’s official API with appropriate risk controls — which is how INDfolio AI operates. Avoid tools that automate a broker’s website or app outside official APIs.
